MOBILE, AL – The Rambler men's golf team wrapped up a two-day event in Mobile Tuesday afternoon. Loyola Chicago competed in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on the par-71, 7,239-yard RTJ Magnolia Grove Golf Course.
Loyola finished tied for eighth at +25 (297-294-286) with a total score of 877.
"We certainly didn't give it our best in the first and second round but we were able to bounce back well in our final round today led by Dori, Charlie and Sebastian," said head coach Peter Pougnet. "I'm proud of all three of them shooting under par. We have a lot of work to do before the next event but excited to see what comes of it."
Sebastian Kasun led the Ramblers, finishing +2 after three rounds. He scored 215 (75-70-70) to tie for 28th. He led the team with 10 birdies, which tied 31rd in the tournament.
Next up for the Ramblers, Dori Lee was who tied for 31st on the charts. He posted a three-round score of 216 (73-73-70). He also led the team with 10 birdies, tying for 31st in the tournament.
Charlie Kulwin was tied for 45th place and a score of 219 (75-75-69). He trailed behind Kulwin and Lee with 9 birdies, which tied 30th in the tournament.
Zach Mulhearn and Connor Woodin wrapped up team play. Mulhearn placed 66th with a score of 227 (74-76-77), while Woodin scored 231 (75-78-78) for 75th place.
The Ramblers will take two weeks off before heading east to Pennsylvania. Loyola will compete April 18-19 at Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State University.
