SOUTHERN PINES, NC – The Rambler men's golf team wrapped up a three-day event in Southern Pines Wednesday afternoon. Loyola Chicago competed in the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate on the par-72, 6,723-yard Mid Pines Inn & GC.

"We are starting to take steps in the right direction," said head coach Peter Pougnet. "Despite yesterday's round, we had two good days. We talk about finishing rounds and the 3-7 stretch today to close our round with starting on 10, we played in 10-under. We have stuff to clean up the next couple of weeks but very proud of how the guys fought."

Charlie Kulwin led the Ramblers, finishing -3 after three rounds. He scored 213 (69-72-72) to pace the pack and tie for ninth. He led the team with 14 birdies, which tied fifth in the tournament.

Next up for the Ramblers, Sebastian Kasun was who tied for 26th on the charts. He posted a three-round score of 219 (69-82-68). He led the team with 33 pars, which tied 30th in the tournament. 

Dori Lee was tied for 49th place and a score of 223 (76-73-74). He trailed behind Kulwin with 11 birdies, which tied 16th in the tournament. 

Connor Woodin and Ryan Walsh wrapped up team play. Woodin placed 76th with a score of 227 (77-74-76), while Walsh scored 244 (82-79-78) for 99th place.

"We were carried by Charlie's play. He's continuing to get better and better. Outside of Sebastian's second round where he was sick, he played really well in the first and third rounds including the round of the day today. I'm excited to keep building and be ready for our last couple events before the A-10 Championship."

The Ramblers will take two weeks off before heading to Alabama. Loyola will compete March 30-31 at Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama.
