Post-Game Quotes
Loyola 84, Youngstown State 71
January 27, 2011
Loyola Head Coach Jim Whitesell
Opening statement
"This is a good team win. Every time we play Youngstown State, it's always a close game with a lot of points. They have a really good transition game and they also play good defense. But we were able to shoot and move the ball very well and we got a really good balance tonight. It feels good to have a winning streak and we'll try to keep it going on Saturday against a very good team. We know we'll have to bring our `A' game against Cleveland State."
Loyola sophomore forward Ben Averkamp
On his first career double-double and fast start tonight
"A lot of it was my teammates finding me in open spots even if I was getting fouled. Half the battle is actually getting good looks. Coach and I were talking about me trying to get my points and offensive boards and I was able to get both of them tonight."
Loyola senior guard Geoff McCammon
On any pressure he feels going in his last Horizon League season
"I wouldn't say I feel any pressure. When you're working in the summer, you just want results. You want to look back and say you did something worthwhile. We want to be the best team by March so we can make a run. It's all about competing."
