Postgame Notes
- Win gives Loyola first 2-0 start since 2001-02 and is just the third such start in program history (1979-80)
- Today's win, coupled with Friday's 77-34 win over Chicago State, marked the seventh time in program history that Loyola has won consecutive games by 30 or more points
- However, it was the first time that has happened since beating Saint Mary's (102-65) and Chicago State (84-45) early in the 1988-89 season
- After being held scoreless at Chicago State, Preseason All-Horizon League Second Team choice Monica Albano finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists against the Huskies
- Loyola held Northern Illinois to 0-for-9 shooting from the arc, the first time a the Ramblers opponent an opponent scoreless from the three-point line since Youngstown State on Jan. 31, 2009
- On the flip side, Loyola knocked down six from three-point range, its 427th consecutive game with a made trey
- After leading the Horizon League in blocked shots last season, the Ramblers recorded nine blocks this afternoon with Simone Law and Katie Kortekamp swatting two apiece
- Loyola's starting five shot 57% (21 of 37) from the floor
- Abby Skube returned to the Loyola lineup after missing the Chicago State game. Skube finished with seven points and six rebounds in 14 minutes
