Women's Soccer Welcomes Eight In 2015 Recruiting Class

Feb. 4, 2015

CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago head women's soccer coach Barry Bimbi announced the addition of eight student-athletes to his 2015 roster on Wednesday afternoon. The class features three midfielder/forwards, two forwards, a midfielder, a defender and a goalkeeper.

ELENI CARR
Midfielder/Forward | Wexford, Pa. | North Allegheny High School | Beadling Soccer Club

The younger sister of current Rambler sophomore Maria Carr, Eleni Carr arrives at Loyola by way of Wexford, Pa., where she has played exclusively on the club level for the Beadling Soccer Club. Since joining the club in 2012, she has helped lead the team to back-to-back State Cup and Regional championships to go along with a pair of National League appearances.

Bimbi on Carr: "Eleni is a very skillful and quick player that will add a lot of quality to our central midfield."

MADISON KIMBALL
Midfielder/Forward | Fair Oaks, Calif. | Saint Francis Catholic High School | San Juan Soccer Club ECNL `97

A midfielder/forward, Madison Kimball starred on the club level for the San Juan Soccer Club ECNL '97, where she served as a co-captain. Out of Fair Oaks, Calif., Kimball has proven to be a venerable scoring threat as she racked up six goals, including two from the penalty spot, and six assists in eight appearances this season, all of which she earned the starting nod in.

In each of the past three seasons, she has helped lead her team to the ECNL playoffs, highlighted by an appearance in the B Bracket Finals in 2011-12. Kimball also excelled in the classroom during her time at St. Francis Catholic High School, receiving the General Excellence Award, the school's highest academic honor.

Bimbi on Kimball: "Madison has one of the highest soccer IQ's I've seen in a player. She is a precise passer of the ball, but also has scored some big goals for her club."

TAYLOR LAMBOURIS
Defender | Farmington Hills, Mich. | North Farmington High School | Michigan Hawks

A hard-nosed defended out of Farmington Hills, Mich., Taylor Lambouris has enjoyed success on both the high school and club levels. After helping lead North Farmington High School to a city championship as only freshman, Lambouris was selected as an All-District honoree. She would duplicate that feat during her junior year as the Raiders laid claim to a league title. Lambouris plays on the club level for the Michigan Hawks, where she has found that back of the net twice this season as part of the U18 squad.

Bimbi on Lambouris: "Taylor is a prototypical left footed left back that will add a boost in the attack and solidify the backline."

SARAH LAWRENCE
Midfielder/Forward | Westlake, Ohio | Magnificat High School | Cleveland Futbol Club

Sarah Lawrence comes to Loyola with a winning pedigree, leading her team to a pair of district and regional championships during her time as part of a tradition-laden program at Magnificat High School, just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. A three-time selection as the team's Most Valuable Attacking Player, Lawrence scored 13 goals and dished out 40 assists during her first three years as a Blue Streak.

Lawrence also achieved success on the club level with the Cleveland Futbol Club, where she was part of the side that captured the Ohio North State Cup Championship in 2014.

Bimbi on Lawrence: "Sarah is a crafty attacking player with tremendous ability to find the open player."

CASSIDY LENTZ
Goalkeeper | New Berlin, Wis. | Catholic Memorial High School | Strike FC Wisconsin

A goalkeeper by way of New Berlin, Wis., Cassidy Lentz comes to Loyola after a successful career at Catholic Memorial High School, the same program that produced Monica Gonyo, Loyola's all-time shutouts leader. She racked up 58 clean sheets during her time as a Crusader, highlighted by a 21-game shutout streak that saw her ascend to the top of the school record board in the category. Lentz starred on a team that won three consecutive state championships, with perhaps her finest work coming during an undefeated season in 2013 that saw Catholic Memorial ascend to the No. 9 spot in the national polls, the program's highest ranking in its history. Lentz also achieved success on the club level with Strike FC Wisconsin, capturing state titles in 2010 and 2014 with the club.

Bimbi on Schultz: "Vivien is a true "team" player; she has a great motor, infectious energy, and is willing to play anywhere on the field."
