Loyola Turns Attention Towards MVC Road Test At Bradley

Ramblers look for first win in Peoria, Ill. since 1995

The Valley on ESPN3 vs. Bradley | Live Stats vs. Bradley

CHICAGO (September 12, 2017) –
The Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team will make the trip down Interstate 55 on Wednesday for a midweek Missouri Valley Conference clash with Bradley.  Kickoff from Shea Stadium in Peoria, Ill. is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Last Time Out: Loyola split a pair of contests as part of the NIU Adidas Invitational this past weekend.  After dropping a 1-0 decision to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) in the event's opening game, the Ramblers rebounded for a 1-0 blanking of Stetson.  Junior Alec Lasinski netted the game-winning goal in the 68th minute off of assists from senior Elliot Collier and sophomore Marius Kullmann.  Freshman goalkeeper Aidan Aylward stopped the Hatters' only attempt on target en route to collecting the first shutout of his collegiate career.

vs. Bradley: Bradley enters Wednesday's league tilt at 3-3-0 on the year.  The Braves are coming off a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to No. 17/9 Omaha.  Gerit Wintermeyer put Bradley on top in the 78th minute before the Mavericks scored two goals inside a 17-second span in the 87th minute to claim a victory.  Wintermeyer is one of four Braves with two goals to his name for veteran head coach Jim DeRose's team.

Series Stuff: Wednesday's matchup will be the 21st meeting in the all-time series between Loyola and Bradley in men's soccer.  The Braves hold a 14-6-0 edge, having prevailed in five of the last seven encounters.  Both of those Loyola victories have come in Rogers Park.  The Ramblers will be in search of their first win in Peoria on Wednesday night since a 2-1 triumph during the 1995 season.

After This: Following its matchup with the Braves, Loyola will venture north for a non-conference clash with Wisconsin at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening in Madison, Wis.
