CHICAGO (November 8, 2018) –
Winners of its last two games, Loyola University Chicago closes out a brief two-game road trip on Tuesday morning when it faces off against Bowling Green at 10 a.m. (CT) from inside the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.  Tuesday's matchup with the Falcons will serve as a homecoming for third-year Loyola head coach Kate Achter, who was an All-American during her time at Bowling Green, helping lead the team to four Mid-American Conference (MAC) titles and three berths in the NCAA Tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
For the second time in as many games, Loyola used an impressive showing in the fourth quarter to battle back from behind, as it defeated UIC by a final score of 75-60 this past Saturday at Credit Union 1 Arena.  Janae Gonzales finished with a team-high 17 points to lead a quartet of Ramblers in double figures in the victory.

LOYOLA – BOWLING GREEN – THE SERIES
Loyola and Bowling Green will meet for only the third time on Tuesday morning in Northwest Ohio.  The Falcons have prevailed in both of the previous meetings, the last of which came on February 2, 1993 when Bowling Green rolled to a 107-64 win over the Maroon & Gold.  Bowling Green is one of two opponents out of the MAC that Loyola will face this season. The Ramblers, who will take on Western Michigan on Dec. 3 in Kalamazoo, Mich., hold an 18-34 (.346) record against current MAC members.

FLIGHT OF THE FALCONS
Bowling Green, fresh off a thrilling last-second 61-60 win over Robert Morris last Saturday, enters today's meeting with an identical record to that of Loyola's, residing at 2-1.  Head coach Robyn Fralick is in her first year as the Falcons' head coach following a 10-year stay at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.  Leading the charge for Fralick's team early on this season has been the trio of Morgan McMillen, Andrea Cecil and Angela Perry. McMillen tops the scoring chart for the Falcons, averaging a team-high 20.7 points, with Cecil (16.3 ppg) and Perry (13.5 ppg) trailing closely behind. She's also knocked down a team-high 14 shots from beyond the three-point arc for a Bowling Green side that ranks ninth nationally in three-point field goals made per game (11.7).

UP NEXT
Following a break for Thanksgiving, Loyola returns home for a pair of games next week.  The Ramblers welcome Chicago State to Rogers Park on Monday, November 26 at 7 p.m. before a "Field Trip Day with the Ramblers" 11 a.m. matinee against Purdue Fort Wayne the following Thursday (November 29).
