CHICAGO (December 18, 2018) - Former Loyola University Chicago Men's Soccer standout
Brian Bement has signed with Forward Madison FC Soccer Club (FMFC) of the USL League One, the club announced on Tuesday (Dec. 18). Bement (Waterloo, Ill./St. Louis High School [Mo.]) played for the Ramblers from 2011-14 and most recently played for the Jacksonville Armada in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).
A native of Waterloo, Ill., Bement inked his
first professional deal with Puerto Rico FC on March 31, 2016. He made the switch to the NPSL after making the Armada through open tryouts earlier in 2018 and will now be a part of the inaugural FMFC roster.
The forward made his presence felt in Rogers Park right away. He exploded on the Horizon League scene as a freshman in 2011, scoring a team-best four goals en route to earning a selection to the conference's All-Newcomer Team. He continued his consistent production through the beginning of
Neil Jones' tenure, earning All-Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention honors twice (2013-14) and was tabbed to the MVC All-Tournament team his senior season (2014).
