CHICAGO (February 26, 2018) - Loyola enters this week's action ranked No. 6 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I-II Poll and has won nine straight and 14 of its last 16 matches at Gentile Arena. Following this week's matches, the Ramblers will play seven of their final nine contests on the road. A victory over No. 7 Lewis on Wednesday would give Loyola its most wins by the end of February since 2015 (13).
 
Senior Ryan Jamison returned to action last weekend and showed no signs of rust after missing a month with an ankle injury. The outside hitter posted double-digit kills in both contests last weekend, averaging 2.50 kills, 1.38 digs and 0.62 service aces per set, while hitting at a .421 (20-4-38) clip, in wins over McKendree and No. 4 Ohio State. At home this season, he is posting 2.29 kills and 1.67 digs per set, while hitting .304 (48-17-102).
 
Scouting Lewis
Lewis has been on a tear after opening the 2018 season with three straight losses. Since that rough opening stretch however, the Flyers have prevailed in 11 of their last 12 outings, and bring a three-match winning streak into Wednesday's showdown at Gentile Arena. Lewis is 6-3 this season versus nationally ranked teams and is led by redshirt sophomore outside hitter Ryan Coenen, who contributes 3.51 kills, 1.31 digs, 0.78 blocks and 0.40 service aces per set.
 
Loyola is seeking its first win at home versus Lewis since 2015. The Ramblers are 16-9 all-time against the Flyers when playing in Rogers Park. Lewis is just 1-2 in true road matches this season, but won its last contest away from home, sweeping Fort Wayne two weeks ago.
