CHICAGO (March 14, 2018) – Loyola University Chicago guard Clayton Custer (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest/Iowa State) and swingman Donte Ingram (Chicago, Ill./Simeon) were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 16 Team today. This marks the second straight season the Ramblers have been represented on the NABC All-District Team, and this year, Loyola was one of two schools to have multiple players appear on the All-District 16 Team.
 
Custer, who was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year this season, was tabbed NABC All-District First Team after averaging 13.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while connecting on 52.3 percent on his field goal attempts and 44 percent of his three-point tries. He is the first Rambler to earn conference player of the year accolades since Andre Moore in 1987 in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference.
 
Ingram, a Second Team All-MVC pick this season, collected Second Team NABC All-District accolades. The 6-foot-6 senior contributed 11.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals this season, shooting 45.1 percent from the field, including 39.9 percent from long distance. Earlier this season, he became the 19^th player in program history to accumulate 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in his career.
 
Custer and Ingram have played huge roles in Loyola's record-setting season in 2017-18. The Ramblers have earned their first NCAA Tournament berth in 33 years and need one more win to match the school record for wins held by the 1963 NCAA championship squad (29).
 
Loyola, which claimed both the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season and tournament titles, enters Thursday's NCAA Tournament game versus Miami on a 10-game winning streak and has prevailed in 17 of its last 18 contests.
