Jendryk Signs Professional Contract To Play In Germany

Former Rambler to compete for Berlin Recycling Volleys

CHICAGO (July 18, 2018) – Jeff Jendryk (Wheaton, Ill./St. Francis), a four-time American Volleyball Coaches All-America selection and former standout at Loyola University Chicago, has signed a professional contract with Berlin Recycling Volleys in Berlin, Germany, it was announced today by the club. A 6-foot-10 middle blocker, Jendryk graduated from Loyola in May after a decorated career that saw him help the Ramblers to the NCAA championship as a freshman in 2015.

One of only 12 players in NCAA Division I-II history to be a four-time AVCA All-America pick, Jendryk ranks second in Loyola history with a .449 hitting percentage, and in 2015 was named AVCA Newcomer of the Year and Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament.

During his senior campaign in 2018, Jendryk averaged 2.27 kills and 0.88 blocks per set, ranking second in the nation with a .457 hitting percentage, while helping Loyola to 23 wins and a No. 7 ranking in the season-ending AVCA Division I-II Poll.

He also has gained experience playing at the highest level, competing for the U.S. Men's National Team at the 2017 FIVB World League Championship and the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League, teaming up with fellow Wheaton native and former Loyola teammate Thomas Jaeschke.
