A Look at SIUE: The SIUE Cougars are off to a hot start in 2018 and enter Saturday winners of its last four matches. Notable wins in that stretch feature the most recent ones with a convincing 3-0 win over Wisconsin (Sept. 7) and a 1-0 victory over No. 24 Grand Canyon (Sept. 9). The Cougars lead the MAC in goals allowed with two, and check in at third in the conference in a number of relevant statistics, such as goals (8) and points (22). Notable Cougars include junior midfielder Jorge Gonzalez, who enters the evening with four goals already for a a share of the conference lead with eight points, as well as goalkeeper Noah Heim who anchors the defensively-sound Cougars to the tune of a 0.38 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage through his five starts.

Series Stuff: Loyola holds a 5-3-1 edge over its former MVC foe, and won the most recent match against them 1-0 last season. With the exception of SIUE's PK win in 2015, every matchup has been decided by one goal, and seven of those eight contests ended in 1-0 matches. Overall, the low-scoring affairs give the Ramblers a +2 goal differential at 6-4 overall.
