CHICAGO (October 7, 2019) – The Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team looks to capture its first three-game winning streak away from Loyola Soccer Park since 2016 as the Ramblers travel to Northwestern on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. kick at Martin Stadium.
Last Time Out:Â Loyola defeated Drake, 2-1 on Sept. 29 in double overtime. Senior
Aidan Megally tallied both goals for the Ramblers, including the golden goal. Redshirt sophomore
Mike Riley also tallied his first career assist and
Marcel Kampman had three saves. Megally has been an offensive force for Loyola all season with four goals, one assist and 10 shots on goal. The senior has already recorded 32 shots this season, which is on track to beat his personal bests in shots (35) and shots on goal (13).

vs. Northwestern:Â The Wildcats (5-5-1, 1-2-1 Big Ten Conference) recently took back-to-back losses to No. 8 Indiana and Michigan last week, placing them seventh in the Big Ten. Sophomore Bardia Kimiavi leads the Wildcats with three goals this season while senior Matt Moderwell has notched four assists, two of which were against UIC. Goalkeeper Miha Miskovic has registered 33 saves this season, which ranks fourth in the Big Ten. Head coach Tim Lenahan is in his 19
th season with the Wildcats, who finished (6-9-5, 0-5-3 Big Ten) in 2018.
Series Stuff: This is the 33rd meeting between the two teams, who have a crosstown rivalry dating back to 1982. Northwestern leads the all-time series, 20-7-6. Loyola defeated Northwestern back-to-back in 2014 and 2015 but haven't captured a win since. Northwestern snatched last year's win in overtime, 1-0 at Loyola Soccer Park.
