WASHINGTON –
Mateusz Drazek of Loyola Chicago men's soccer is named the first Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week this season, the league announced Monday afternoon. Drazek made his debut for the Ramblers and helped Loyola open the season 2-0-0.
In his first career appearance, Drazek provided a spark off the bench for the Ramblers at Green Bay. He assisted on the game winner in the 52
nd minute to tally the first points of his career.
Drazek then found the back of the net in Loyola's home opener vs. NIU over the weekend. His game winner in a 3-1 win came in the 31
st minute off his left foot low into the goal.
The rookie and the Ramblers return to play this week with Milwaukee on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Loyola Soccer Park.
