CHICAGO (November 18, 2019) – Winners of its first three games of the 2019-20 season, Loyola University Chicago will look to match its best start through four games in program history on Tuesday night when it heads south to the Jones Convocation Center for a 7 p.m. matchup with Chicago State.

Loyola dug itself out of an early nine-point hole as it eased its way to a 67-51 triumph over Eastern Illinois last Wednesday at Lantz Arena in Charleston, Ill.Â
Janae Gonzales paced a trio of Ramblers to score in double figures in the victory, knocking down seven of her 12 three-point attempts as part of a 24-point effort.Â

Chicago State enters the week still in search of its first win of 2019-20. The Cougars, who were tabbed ninth in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Preseason Poll, currently sit at 0-4 following a 98-70 home setback to Oakland. Second-year head coach Misty Opat's team is led by the pairing of Kourtney Crane and Tyeshia Bowers. Crane averages a team-best 17.5 points, while Bowers, who led Chicago State in scoring last season (12.3 ppg), has added 16.0 points across her three appearances, highlighted by a 24-point showing in a season-opening loss to Illinois.
