Final 2019 AVCA Coaches Poll Ranks Loyola at No. 9

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 6, 2019) – The Loyola University Chicago's men's volleyball program finished the 2019 campaign ranked No. 9 in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I-II Poll, the organization announced on Monday (May 6). The spot in the rankings marks the seventh time in the last eight years the program finished the year within the AVCA's Top-10 rankings. The Ramblers finished their 2019 campaign with 21 wins, marking the sixth time in the last seven years the program reached the 20-win benchmark.

In his fourth season as the head coach, Mark Hulse recorded his 80th career win and coached six players that earned All-MIVA recognition. The Maroon and Gold enter next season two wins shy of accumulating 500 in program history. The 2019 squad reached the title match of the MIVA Championship for the second consecutive season, but fell to No. 7 Lewis in three sets.
