CHICAGO (July 18, 2019) – A pair of Loyola University Chicago rising seniors were named to the 2018-19 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court today. Earning the accolade for the first time in their collegiate careers were
Jake Baughman (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) and
Bruno Skokna (Zagreb, Croatia).

In order to be selected for the NABC Honors Court, individuals must be a junior or senior academically, have attended the institution for at least one year and own a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year.Â

This recognition for Baughman and Skokna is one of a host of academic honors for the Loyola men's basketball program in 2018-19. Earlier this month, the Ramblers were saluted by the NABC with a Team Academic Excellence Award after the squad recorded a 3.351 grade-point average for the 2018-19 academic year.Â

Several individuals were honored for their outstanding achievements in the classroom, highlighted by redshirt senior
Clayton Custer, who was a Google Cloud Third Team Academic All-America pick, just the second Academic All-America selection in program annals. Custer also picked up Division I-AAA Scholar-Athlete Team, Google Cloud First Team Academic All-District V and Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team distinction, while
Cameron Krutwig joined Custer on the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team.

On the court, the Ramblers had another memorable season, posting 20 wins and earning a National Invitation Tournament (NIT) berth, while also securing their second straight MVC regular-season conference championship.
