CHICAGO (September 17, 2019) - Looking to claim their first win in conference play, the Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team will head south to Evansville this week. The Maroon & Gold will visit McCutchan Stadium on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. to face the Purple Aces.

vs. Evansville: Under the direction of fifth year head coach Marshall Ray, the Purple Aces currently sit at 2-2-1 this season. Evansville recently defeated UNC Asheville, 1-0 on Saturday with the lone goal coming from senior Jesse Lacey-Stafford, who has a team-high three goals this season. Four Purple Aces have also found the back of the net this season, including Ryan Harris, Filip Johansson, Matic Pavlic and Simon Paez Abedanck. The Purple Aces were picked fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Poll following a 4-8-7 campaign (2-2-2 MVC) in 2018. Returners Lacey-Stafford and Ben Weber led Evansville last season with three goals each.
