How It Happened
Moore scored his first collegiate goal in the 35
th minute off a Loyola corner kick.
Marius Kullmann tapped the ball to the inside of the box and Moore headed it in with ease as it slowly bounced past UE goalkeeper Frederik Reimer. Evansville responded soon after on a quick give-and-go in the 39th minute between Ryan Harris and Nkosi Graham. Harris was able to slide in between Loyola's defense to score on the pass from Graham.
Both teams took five shot attempts in the second half, three of which were on goal for Loyola.
Andrew Mitchell had a great chance in the 52nd minute as the ball almost crossed the line, but Reimer was there just in time to pull it in. Sukow finalized the decision minutes later, firing a wide open missile into the net with his left foot in the 55th minute. The Purple Aces best chance for the equalizer was a shot by Lucas Weir, who was surrounded by a sea of purple in the 83rd minute, but the shot went wide.
