CHICAGO (January 20, 2021) – With the official start of the 2021 spring season less than a away, Loyola University Chicago head women's volleyball coach Amanda Berkley announced some additions to the Ramblers' schedule today. Loyola has added dates for three more contests to the schedule that was announced in October.
 
No time will be wasted in kicking off the slate of Missouri Valley Conference matches as the Ramblers jump right into league play by hosting Valparaiso in the season opener on January 25.  Following a non-conference matchup with former, long-time league mate, Butler, on January 29, Loyola wraps up the regular-season series with Valpo by traveling east on the Toll Road for a February 1 match at the Athletics-Recreation Center.
 
No other changes have been made to the schedule that was revealed in October. In an attempt to limit travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, other than the Valpo series, Loyola will be facing four Valley teams at home and four on the road, playing both matches of the season series at one site in a weekend. All home matches this season will be played at The Alfie Norville Practice Facility and due to COVID-19 restrictions, fans will not be allowed to attend.
 
Last season, Loyola put together one of its best showings in recent history, finishing second in the rugged Missouri Valley Conference regular-season race with a 14-4 league ledger, while winning 21 matches overall. Berkley's young squad, which features 15 underclassmen, welcomes back 2019 First Team All-MVC picks Addie Barnes and Taylor Venuto.
