WASHINGTON - The Atlantic 10 tabbed Loyola Chicago's Leyna Nguyen as this weeks Rookie of the Week, following her Rambler volleyball debut at the WKU Invitational. 

Nguyen made a statement for the Ramblers, racking up 49 kills and 35 digs over three straight double-double performances. She also added three assists, two aces, and four blocks. The California native posted a .195 hitting percentage, averaging 3.77 kills per set.

Against Drake, Nguyen recorded 15 kills, two aces, two assists, 12 digs, and two blocks, helping Loyola to a five-set win.

She added 13 kills and 12 digs vs. Western Kentucky. Nguyen capped the weekend with a match-high 21 kills and added 11 digs for her third straight double-double against Wright State.

Nguyen and the Ramblers return to action this weekend at the Kiwi Star Classic in Coralville, Iowa.
