CHICAGO (October 1, 2021) – Currently in the midst of a four-game unbeaten run, the Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team (5-2-1, 2-0-1 MVC) returns to the friendly confines of Loyola Soccer Park on Sunday to battle SIUE. Kickoff from Rogers Park is slated for 2 p.m.
Last Time Out: Loyola used a dominant effort on both ends of the field to roll past Bradley, 3-0, this past Wednesday at Shea Stadium in Peoria, Ill.

vs. SIUE: SIUE enters Sunday's tilt with Loyola fresh off a 4-0 rout of Evansville on Wednesday that saw the Cougars improve to 2-5-2 overall and 1-2-0 in Valley play.
Head coach Cale Wassermann's team wrapped up its four-year stint in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) this past spring by going 5-5-0 (2-5-0 MAC).
Predicted to finish fourth in the MVC Preseason Poll, the Cougars are led by the trio of Pau Palacin, Alex Segura, and Max Broughton, who each have three goals and an assist to their name this season. Kelby Phillips has dished out a team-high four assists. The duo of Tor Erik Larsen (0.93 GAA) and Lluis Martorell (2.03 GAA) have split time in goal. Larsen earned the starting assignment in SIUE's aforementioned win over the Purple Aces, making five saves en route to his first clean sheet of the season.
Series Stuff: Loyola and SIUE are set to meet for the 11th time on Sunday afternoon in Rogers Park, a series in which the Ramblers own a 6-3-1 (.650) advantage in. The two in-state foes have previously battled on seven occasions as conference rivals, splitting those matchups to a tune of 3-3-1 (.500).
Loyola and SIUE last met back on September 15, 2018, with early strikes from Aidan Megally and Fabian Lifka lifting the Maroon & Gold to a 2-0 win over the Cougars at Korte Stadium in Edwardsville, Ill.
