CHICAGO (November 23, 2021) – Coming off a hard-fought win over the weekend, Loyola University Chicago (2-2) will look to climb back over the .500 mark and protect its unblemished home record on Wednesday afternoon when it welcomes Saint Francis (Ill.) to Gentile Arena in the middle game of a three-game homestand. Tip-off from inside Gentile Arena is set for 1 p.m.

Sitori Tanin finished with a game-high 14 points as Loyola snapped a brief two- game skid with a 71-59 win over Chicago State this past Saturday in Rogers Park.
Bre Hampton-Bey (12 points) and
Maya Chandler (10 points) also reached double figures in scoring for the Maroon & Gold, who shot a sizzling 61.9 percent from the field, the sixth highest single-game mark in program history.
LOYOLA/SAINT FRANCIS – THE SERIES
Loyola and Saint Francis will meet for the 13th time in a regular season matchup on Wednesday afternoon in Rogers Park. The Ramblers own a 9-3 (.800) lead in the all-time series, with the last matchup coming back on February 18, 1987 when the Maroon & Gold picked up an 85-65 win inside historic Alumni Gym.
Loyola and Saint Francis most recently met in exhibition action prior to the start of the 2019-20 season, a 71-27 win for the Ramblers. The Maroon & Gold held the Fighting Saints to just 25 percent (13-for-52) from the field in a game in which all 12 Ramblers who saw action scored.
THE SAINTS ARE COMING
Under the direction of former Loyola assistant coach John McGinty, Saint Francis enters the week at 6-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play. Prior to taking on the Ramblers, the Fighting Saints will battle Roosevelt on Tuesday night.
Andriana Acosta fuels the attack for McGinty's team, as she enters the week averaging a double-double (16.6 ppg, 11.8 rpg), both of which are team-best marks. Jordan Pyle got off to a fast start this season, putting up 16.3 points across the Fighting Saints' first four games, but has not played since a November 6 against Saint Francis (Ind.).
