CHICAGO (February 8, 2021) – Off to its best start since 1965-66 and winner of 10 straight games, Loyola University Chicago is ranked No. 22 in the latest Associated Press Men's Basketball Top 25 Poll which was revealed today. The Ramblers were last ranked in either the Associated Press or Coaches Poll in 2017-18, when they earned the No. 7 spot in the final Coaches Poll after posting a 32-6 record and making the program's first trip to the NCAA Final Four since 1963.

Loyola has not been ranked during the regular season since March 4, 1985, when it checked in at No. 16 in the Associated Press Poll. The Ramblers were last ranked in the AP Poll on March 11, 1985, taking a No. 14 ranking in the final AP Poll following a 27-win season in which they advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16.

Over the weekend, Loyola extended its home court winning streak to 19 games with a pair of victories against Missouri Valley Conference rival Evansville. The Ramblers, who have won 90 games since the start of the 2017-18 season, lead the nation in scoring defense, surrendering only 56.2 points per game.

A much-anticipated showdown awaits Loyola this weekend as it heads to Drake (18-1, 9-1 MVC) for a two-game set, February 13 and 14 in Des Moines.
