CHICAGO (March 17, 2021) – Loyola University Chicago (11-13, 8-10 MVC) will now meet Stetson (9-13, 7-9 ASUN) in the quarterfinals of the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI), it was announced on Wednesday.  The remainder of the bracket will be unaffected, with tip-off of the matchup between the Ramblers and Hatters scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (CT) on Friday afternoon inside the William Exum Center in Frankfort, Kent.
 
Longwood, the Maroon & Gold's originally scheduled opponent, has been forced to withdraw from the event due to positive COVID-19 tests among the Lancers' Tier 1 personnel.
 
Loyola and Stetson have only met once previously, an 80-58 Rambler win back on December 28, 1993 inside Alumni Gym.
