CHICAGO (April 19, 2021) – Following a regular season that saw it complete its third straight sweep of the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles, the Loyola University Chicago women's soccer team (8-1-1, 6-1-1 MVC) will meet Denver in the First Round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship, it was announced on Monday.
Set for their first-ever meeting, the Ramblers and Pioneers will battle at 2 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday, April 27 at the Sportsplex in Matthews, N.C. Second-seeded North Carolina awaits the winner in the Second Round on Friday, April 30.

Barry Bimbi, Loyola will be in search of its first NCAA Tournament win in program history. The Maroon & Gold are led by six All-MVC selections, including Valley Player of the Year

Winners of the Summit League's regular season and tournament championships, Denver (16-2-1, 14-1-1 Summit) enters the NCAA Tournament on an eight-game win streak, having shutout each of its last five opponents.
