Â
Loyola will have the opportunity to see how it stacks up against a handful of Valley foes on Friday, with the host Sycamores, Evansville, Illinois State, and Valparaiso joining the Ramblers as part of the 19-team field.
Â
Junior
Adam Clayton will be looking to continue his red-hot run of late after spearheading the attack for the Maroon & Gold at the Illinois State Invitational last weekend in Normal, Ill. Clayton was named the MVC Male Track Athlete of the Week after running a Valley-best 20.92 in the 200m dash, shattering former Rambler Jaz Hayes' six-year-old program record in the process. Clayton also climbed to third all-time at Loyola in the 100m dash after posting a time of 10.47 in a preliminary heat.Â
Â
Freshman
Jevan Terry also impressed in the short sprints, clocking personal-best efforts in the 100m dash (10.75) and 200m dash (21.49) as he ascended into the program's top 10 in both events. Like Terry, senior
Denee' Lawrence dazzled, racing through in 24.31 in the 200m dash, the third fastest time in the event in Rambler annals, to go along with a personal-best 12.01 in the 100m dash that saw her move up to fifth at Loyola in the event.Â
Â
For the second time in as many weeks, sophomore
Isabel Velasco established a new program record in the 100m hurdles, finishing in 14.25, while freshman
Jayla Johnson rose to third all-time, crossing in 14.95.
Â
In the field, the junior pairing of
Sarah Olojo and
Ilhame Tamrouti were both victorious. Olojo took first in the triple jump with a top leap of 39-01.00 (11.91m), picking up her second consecutive win.  Tamrouti continued her dominance in the javelin, unleashing a toss of 151-08 (46.23m) that saw her finish over 12 feet in front of her next closest competitor en route to a fourth victory of the outdoor campaign.
Â
Senior
Mimi Reimers led the way for a group of Ramblers competing at the GVSU Meet in Allendale, Mich. Reimers battled her way to a personal best time of 16:28.67 in the 5,000m run, moving up to eighth on the program's all-time outdoor record board.

After returning from The Hoosier State, Loyola will begin postseason action at the MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Carbondale, Ill., May 14-16.
