Van Buren, Brooks Lead Offense Against Railsplitters

Loyola Men's Volleyball lost 3-0 to Lincoln Memorial University.

HARROGATE, Tenn. (Jan. 28. 2022) – The Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team played its first match in their Tennessee road trip as they took on the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters. The fight was close throughout the three sets, but it ultimately ended in favor of the Railsplitters as the Ramblers lost 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first set started in an even battle between the two teams. They exchanged points until the score was 17-17, and that's when the Railsplitters ran away with it. Although the Ramblers were able to grab some points of their own, it wasn't enough to come out with a win as the lost the first set 25-21.

In the second set, the Maroon and Gold were able to grab a slight lead at the start. But Lincoln Memorial was not willing to give up their first set victory. They came back towards the middle of the second set, stealing the win away from the Ramblers 25-22.

From there, the Railsplitters had all of the momentum. They stopped Loyola in its tracks at the start of the third. This resulted in a loss in a 25-15 loss for the Ramblers in the final set.
