CHICAGO (October 24, 2022) - Fresh off a pair of sweeps over the weekend, Loyola University Chicago (17-7, 11-0 A-10) puts its 11-match win streak on the line on Tuesday night when it entertains Saint Louis (13-10, 5-6 A-10) to begin a three-match homestand. First serve against the Billikens is set for 6 p.m. in the second matchup between the two teams. Earlier this month, Loyola came away with a four-set victory at Saint Louis, 25-23, 21-25, 25-15, 25-11.
With just seven matches remaining before the start of the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Volleyball Championship, Loyola finds itself perched atop the league standings. The Ramblers hold a one-match edge over Davidson, who sits second.
Loyola's current 11-match tear marks its longest win streak since it rattled off 11 straight victories during the 2015 season and is tied for the third longest win streak in program history. With a victory over the Billikens, the Maroon & Gold can move within one win of tying the longest tear in program history, set during the 2002 season when Loyola ripped off 13 consecutive wins en route to capturing a Horizon League regular season title.
