Olivia Orr posted the top time of her career in the mile run as the Loyola University Chicago track & field teams closed out competition at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa this afternoon.

Orr capped off a productive weekend for the Maroon & Gold's distance crew just north of Iowa's state capital. The Minneapolis, Minn. product clocked a time of 5:07.18 (25
th), shaving just over three seconds off her previous top effort in the event, set back on January 22 at the Notre Dame Invitational.

In action today on the men's side of the mile run was freshman
Jason Clayton. Fresh off a breakout performance in his collegiate debut last weekend at the Meyo Invitational, Clayton, a native of Melbourne, Australia, checked in at 4:10.09 (18
th).

Loyola will now turn its attention towards the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, which the Ramblers will co-host with Valparaiso at The Track & Field Center at Gately Park in Chicago, Ill., February 27-28.
