CHICAGO (March 24, 2022) – Chantz Visse (Solon, Ohio/Solon), a senior on the Loyola University Chicago men's track & field and cross country team, has been selected as one of 10 winter sport recipients of the Missouri Valley Conference State Farm Good Neighbor Award, Commissioner Jeff Jackson announced today.

Following a standout cross country campaign that saw him named First Team All-MVC, Visse carried his success over to the indoor track & field season. The Solon, Ohio native registered personal bests in both the 3,000m run (8:28.32) and 5,000m run (14:41.80), with the latter effort coming as part of an 11
th-place finish at the MVC Indoor Championships this past February.

In the classroom, Visse sports a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade-point average as a philosophy and global studies double major. A three-time MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honoree, Visse has been on the Dean's List in every semester of his time in Rogers Park and is a recipient of the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.

A member of the University's prestigious Maroon & Gold Society, Visse is also actively involved in the community. He's served as both a 360 and Search Retreat Leader, along with being involved in Loyola Outreach with team chaplains.
