ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (March 26, 2022) -- After a tough loss to McKendree in Chicago on Thursday, the No. 11 Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team is back on the road as they travel to Romeoville to take on MIVA rival in the No. 12 Lewis University Flyers.
LAST TIME OUT
Most recently, the Ramblers were at home facing the Bearcats of McKendree University, who was ranked in the most recent AVCA Division I-II Coaches' Poll. These two scrappy teams went back and forth throughout this five-set game, but ultimately, it ended in favor of the Bearcats as Loyola lost 3-2.
FACING THE FLYERS
The No. 12 Flyers continued with MIVA play as they hosted the Mastodons of Purdue Fort Wayne. Lewis took down Purdue Fort Wayne in three sets as these two teams split for MIVA play this season.
Kevin Kauling is the only player in the NCAA to have two triple-doubles this season. He most recent triple-double came against McKendree, where he got 10 kills, 36 assists and 12 digs. Tyler Mitchem continues to be one of the best in the NCAA in multiple statistical categories. He is currently sixth in hitting percentage with a .473 and is third in blocks per set with 1.42.
The Flyers are one of the best blocking teams in the NCAA. They sit in fourth for blocks per set as they average 2.615. Along with their efforts on defense in the front row, their offense is also tough to stop. Lewis is 11th in kills with s12.38 per set while they hit .293, the 13th-best average in the NCAA.

The Ramblers will play the Flyers on their home court at the Neil Carey Arena. First serve will be at 7 p.m.
