Men's Volleyball Honors Its Three Seniors In Match Against The Buckeyes

Loyola Men's Volleyball lost 3-0 to Ohio State University.

CHICAGO (April 9. 2022) – The Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team hosted their final regular season game of the season in the Buckeyes of Ohio State University. With the regular season championship on the line, the Ramblers battled against the Buckeyes, but the result did not go in the home team's favor. Loyola lost in three sets to Ohio State (25-17, 25-17, 25-21).

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ohio State took control of this entire match from the very first point. The Buckeyes went on a 6-0 run to start the first set, and it took its toll on the Ramblers. Even though they fought back, Loyola was unable to make a huge dent in Ohio State's lead, resulting in a 25-17 lost in the first.

From there, the Buckeyes continued chipping away at the Ramblers. Loyola took the first few points of the second set, but Ohio State battled its way back in to take over this second set as Loyola dropped this set 25-17 as well.

In the third set, these two teams duked it out even more, giving the crowd here in Chicago a match to watch. Although the Ramblers worked to get themselves this win for their seniors, it still ended in favor of the Buckeyes as the Maroon and Gold lost the third set 25-21.
