Former All-American Bianca Stubler Joins Loyola Track & Field Coaching Staff

2021 U.S. Olympic trialist will serve as an assistant coach

CHICAGO (August 15, 2022) – Set to begin his second season in Rogers Park, Loyola University Chicago Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Gavin Kennedy announced the addition of Bianca Stubler to his coaching staff on Monday.  A three-time All-American during her collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin, Stubler will serve as an assistant coach and will work with the Ramblers' sprinters and jumpers.

"It's not every day that our student-athletes get to work with a World & Olympic Trials Qualifier and multiple time NCAA All-American," Kennedy said.  "Coach Stubler's experience and enthusiasm is contagious and she is committed to doing things the right way in putting the student-athlete first.  I could not be more excited to welcome her to Rogers Park and l look forward to the impact she will have on our men's and women's programs."

Stubler enjoyed a decorated career during her stay in Madison, Wis., graduating as the school-record holder in both the indoor 400m dash (53.81) and 400m hurdles (56.23).  She also ran on 4x400m relay squads that shattered both the indoor (3:39.43) and outdoor (3:37.41) program-best marks in addition to being part of a distance medley relay quartet that took down a 23-year-old school record (10:59.72).

A two-time All-Big Ten honoree in the 400m hurdles, Stubler collected United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American nods in the event during each of her last two seasons at Wisconsin.  After earning Second Team distinction in 2021, Stubler, who also competed at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials, turned in an inspired showing in her last race as a Badger, finishing sixth in the national final at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships to be named a First Team All-American.

Stubler burst onto the national scene as a sophomore, running on the Badgers' distance medley relay that placed ninth at the NCAA Indoor Championships en route to taking home Second Team All-America honors.

A 2022 graduate of Wisconsin, Stuber was a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and 2021-22 recipient of the conference's Outstanding Sportsmanship Award.
