The Loyola Chicago women's basketball team looks to remain unbeaten on the road and go 2-0 against crosstown rivals this Sunday as the squad takes on DePaul at 2 p.m. inside Wintrust Arena.

- Loyola Chicago looks to knock off the Blue Demons at Wintrust in more non-conference action. With a victory, it would be Loyola's first over DePaul since 2015.
- Two Ramblers established new career-highs in LUC's most recent triumph - a 56-49 road win over Bradley: Sitori Tanin, along with posting the team's first double-double of the year, scored 22 points and snagged 14 boards to rewrite her record sheet. Additionally, Sam Galanopoulos dropped 27 points for a new career-best.
- Thanks to her career day, Galanopoulos was named last week's Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, the program's first since joining the A-10. The graduate student guard was 58 percent from the floor (7-12), 50 percent from deep (2-4) and 79 percent at the line (11-14) against the Braves. She scored eight of the team's 10 points in OT, being a perfect 8-8 at the charity stripe in the extra frame.
- Tanin has posted a double-double in two straight games for Loyola (points-rebounds) - against Bradley and Brown. She's scored in double-digits in all but one game for Loyola (Chicago State).
- With last Thursday's win over the Braves, it's the first time the 'Blers have started the season 2-0 on the road since the 2019-20 campaign. The Ramblers ended up winning seven straight road games that year.
- Loyola's opening win of 2023-24 came against Chicago State, Nov. 9, on the south side.
- Entering Sunday, the 'Blers have three girls averaging double-digit points: Tanin (12.4), Galanopoulos (12.2), and Alyssa Fisher (11.8).
- The team ranks No. 5 in the league in assists and FT percentage per game, averaging 8.5 pg and 74 percent.
- Following Sunday, Loyola will play its third and final crosstown game as it travels to Northwestern (Nov. 29).
- Seven letterwinners return to the roster, including three starters. The Ramblers welcome six newcomers, including two freshman and four transfers.
- In addition to new players, Loyola added assistant coach Simon Harris and assistant coach Jenna Rubino-McCormick to the program in the off-season.
- Head coach Allison Guth is in her second season at the helm of Loyola with a 7-25 record. She enters her eighth year as a head coach after spending the first six seasons at Yale.
Scouting The DePaul Blue Demons
After starting the season 3-3, DePaul aims for its second-straight after dispatching Howard, 85-62, last Monday on the road. Facing some tough competition this season, including a record-breaking exhibition game vs. No. 3 Iowa, the Blue Demons recently fell at No. 17 Louisville, 74-81.
DePaul is led by Anaya Peoples' 20 points per game. Kate Clark (14.2), Jorie Allen (10.3), and Michelle Sidor (10.0) are also averaging double-digit points.
All-Time Against DePaul
Loyola trails in its all-time series vs. DePaul, 45-10. The team's latest win over the Blue Demons came on Dec. 21, 2015. It was an 88-75 road victory for the Maroon and Gold. DePaul has won the past seven meetings.

Despite three Ramblers scoring double-digits, the Loyola University Chicago women's basketball fell, 56-49, to Brown Wednesday afternoon at Gentile Arena. The Ramblers fall to 2-3 overall while Brown improved to 3-3.
