ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (March 31, 2023) - Loyola's (10-17, 4-3) win streak came to an end Friday night as St. Bonaventure grabbed a win in the series opener. The Bonnies used a three-run homer to pull away in the fourth inning. The Ramblers couldn't rally and fell, 7-1.
SBU jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the third inning of action, but Loyola's fourth inning efforts helped cut the lead in half.
Amelia Thomas made the Bonnies pay for an early error reaching second after a bobbled ball in left. She set
Sydney Barnett up for an RBI single, and the Ramblers trailed 2-1 going into the bottom half.
Bobbey reached first on a leadoff walk, while Pergustavo got on with the help of a Rambler throwing error. The dent Loyola made was quickly erased with a three-run blast from Haberl, and St. Bonaventure's lead jumped, 5-1.
