  • With four conference points, the Ramblers are in a five-way tie for the league's No. 2 spot.
  • An impressive 10 separate Ramblers have recorded a goal while 11 have at least one assist this year.
  • With just seven goals allowed thus far, Loyola ranks No. 2 in the league in GA (.88 pg).

  • Coming off a narrow 1-0 loss to the No. 1 team in the nation, Marshall, the Rams enter Saturday with a 1-4-4 overall mark and a 1-0-1 record in league play.
  • The Herd were the fourth ranked foe VCU has faced thus far in 2023. The team has also dueled No. 23 New Hampshire (T, 1-1), No. 21 FIU (L, 4-0), No. 13 Missouri State (L, 1-0).
  • The Rams recently earned their first win of the year, a 1-0 decision over UMass, last Saturday.
  • William Hitchcock leads the VCU attack with four points (two goals).
  • John Eemini mans the Rams' pipes. He's racked up 29 saves but has allowed 14 goals thus far.
THE HISTORY
  • The pair have only met once before - Loyola's first season in the A-10 (2022).
  • Last season, the two squads met on Oct. 15, 2022, in Richmond - the match ended in a 2-2.
  • With the Rams striking first, Ben Bischof's equalizer in the 44th minute knotted the match, 1-1. After the break, VCU scored again in the 45th minute, but a late goal from Oscar Dueso in the 86th minute leveled the match before the final horn.
