Tipping Off
The Loyola University Chicago women's basketball team is set to ring in the new year and welcome Saint Louis for its first league matchup inside Gentile Arena this season. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT while the game will stream live to ESPN+. Jonathan Matthes and Shimmy Gray-Miller will call the action.

- The Ramblers are coming off a 84-72 road loss to St. Bonaventure to open Atlantic 10 play.
- Sam Galanopoulos' team-high 22 points marked her third-straight game in double-digits. She's reached double-figures eight times this season.
- Alyssa Fisher, who scored 20 in the loss, also logged her third-straight game in double-digits and eighth of the year.

- Nationally, the Ramblers are 80th in assists per game (15.40) and second in the Atlantic 10 while Loyola's 19.0 turnovers forced per game rank 74th in the nation and third in the A-10.
- Galanopoulos, who shoots the deep ball at a 44-percent clip, ranks sixth in the A-10.
- Galanopoulos' 4.8 assists per game leads the league while her 2.4 assist to turnover ratio is second.
- Tanin's 1.5 blocks per game ranks fifth in the conference.
- 2023-24 Rambler Bites
- Seven letterwinners return to the roster, including three starters. The Ramblers welcome six newcomers, including two freshman and four transfers.
- In addition to new players, Loyola added assistant coach Simon Harris and assistant coach Jenna Rubino-McCormick to the program in the off-season.
- Head coach Allison Guth is in her second season at the helm of Loyola. She enters her eighth year as a head coach after spending the first six seasons at Yale.
Scouting The Saint Louis Billikens
- Saint Louis owns a 5-9 overall record and recently lost its first A-10 tilt at the hands of Rhode Island at home on Dec. 30.
- After winning the 2023 A-10 Tournament last year, No. 13 Saint Louis suffered a 95-50 loss to No. 4 Tennessee in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Including its loss to the Rams, SLU is on a four-game skid, with its latest win coming on Dec. 6 as the team took down Southern Indiana, 89-53, at home.
- Loyola and the Billikens share a common foe in UIC - SLU edged the Flames, 79-75, on Nov. 26 at home.
- Julia Martinez, who leads, SLU in assists and steals, is from Chicago.
All-Time Against Saint Louis
- In a fairly even series, Loyola Chicago trails SLU, 7-13, in all-time meetings.
- Last season, the two teams split their meetings with the 'Blers winning, 60-47, in the first matchup in Saint Louis, but the Ramblers lost the second meeting in Chicago, 73-55.
- In the win, Maya Chandler and Galanopoulos led the Ramblers with 15 points apiece while Sitori Tanin and Kira Chivers both reached double digits at 10 points each.
