Tipping Off
Having won five of its last seven games, the Loyola University Chicago women's basketball team rolls into its Sunday matinee with Duquesne having momentum in its pocket. The Ramblers and Dukes will tip-off at 1 p.m. CT inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh. The game will stream live on ESPN+.

• Loyola Chicago, who sits seventh in the Atlantic 10 standings, travels to Duquesne, who is No. 5, this Sunday.
• Since falling to VCU on Jan. 13, Loyola has won three straight games, two of which were on the road, including its best shooting performance from the field thus far against UMass on Jan. 17.
• The 'Blers sunk 58.3-percent (28-48) of their shots from the field and made 51.7-percent (8-14) of their attempts from long range.
• The Maroon and Gold carried the hot hand into its home contest with St. Bonaventure and avenged its Dec. 30 loss with a 28-point shellacking.
• The 28-point margin of victory is the team's largest under Allison Guth and their largest since Dec. 3, 2021, vs. Dartmouth.

• She's the 29th Rambler to join the 1,000-point club and the first since Allison Day did so in 2022.
• Galanopoulos has scored double digits in seven of Loyola's past 10 games while only five other student-athletes in the A-10 average more minutes than her (33.4).  
• The Ramblers cash in 36.1-percent of their shots from beyond the arc which ranks 31st in the nation and second in the conference.

2023-24 Rambler Bites

• Seven letterwinners return to the roster, including three starters. The Ramblers welcome six newcomers, including two freshman and four transfers.
• In addition to new players, Loyola added assistant coach Simon Harris and assistant coach Jenna Rubino-McCormick to the program in the off-season.
• Head coach Allison Guth is in her second season at the helm of Loyola. She enters her eighth year as a head coach after spending the first six seasons at Yale.

Scouting the Duquesne Dukes

• 11th-year head coach Dan Burt has guided his 2023-24 team to an 11-8 overall record and a 6-2 mark in league play.
• Duquesne has emerged victorious in three straight games with its most recent loss coming against Saint Joseph's on Jan. 13.
• The Dukes are led by Megan McConnell who leads the team in ppg (12.6), spg (2.1), apg (4.3), and rpg (8.5).
• In the team's most recent win, a 72-59 statement over league-leading Richmond, four Dukes reached double figures while their defense held the Spiders to a 33.9 percent clip.

All-Time Against Duquesne

• The two teams are locked, 2-2, in the all-time series.
• The first time the pair met was Jan. 23, 1993, in Pittsburgh. Loyola won, 66-63.
• Last season, the two teams met once in the regular season and in the A-10 tournament. The Dukes won both outings. The Ramblers lost a heart breaker in the A-10 Tournament by a score of 58-57.

Last Time Out
The Loyola University Chicago women's basketball team overcame a slow start to win its third straight game as the Ramblers took down Fordham, 73-64, at Rose Hill Gym Wednesday night. Ali Berg scored 18 points and snagged three steals for two new career-highs. Sam Galanopoulos led Loyola with 20 points while Alyssa Fisher, who dished out a career high six assists, was the third Rambler in double figures with 15 points.
