Having won five of its last seven games, the Loyola University Chicago women's basketball team takes aim at its second-straight league victory as it heads to Dayton this Saturday (Jan. 6). Tip-off is set for 11 a.m. CT at UD Arena with the game streaming live on ESPN+.

- The Ramblers earned their second-ever Atlantic 10 win Wednesday as the team took down Saint Louis, 74-72, at home. LUC shot north of 50-percent from the field for the first time this season.
- Loyola won the game in crunch time after Alyssa Fisher drained the go-ahead 3-pointer from Sam Galanopoulos with 36 seconds on the clock. Sitori Tanin brought down a rebound and drew a foul on SLU's ensuing possession to seal the win.

- Kira Chivers continues to pace the A-10 in 3-point percentage (.647). In the seventh spot is Galanopoulos who makes 44-percent of her shots from deep.
- Additionally, Galanopoulos sits No. 11 in the conference's field goal percentage leaders (.468) and free throw percentage leaders (.778). She leads the league in assists per game (4.8) and is third in assist/turnover ratio (2.4). She's just 50 points away from reaching 1,000 total throughout her career.
- Fisher, who averages 2.0 threes per game, ranks 10th in the A-10's 3-pointers per game category and 11th in steals per game (1.5).
- As a team, Loyola is second in the A-10 in assists per game (15.9) and 62nd nationally.

2023-24 Rambler Bites
- Seven letterwinners return to the roster, including three starters. The Ramblers welcome six newcomers, including two freshman and four transfers.
- In addition to new players, Loyola added assistant coach Simon Harris and assistant coach Jenna Rubino-McCormick to the program in the off-season.
- Head coach Allison Guth is in her second season at the helm of Loyola. She enters her eighth year as a head coach after spending the first six seasons at Yale.
Scouting The Dayton Flyers
- On a three-game skid, Dayton has an overall record of 6-8 and is 0-3 in the A-10.
- Most recently, the Flyers lost at UMass, 76-66, after falling, 70-42, to Duquesne at home.
- Dayton played three power-six opponents in its non-con slate (UConn, Purdue, and Vanderbilt) as the team has the sixth-hardest schedule in the A10, according to warrennolan.com.
- Two Flyers hail from the state of Illinois in sophomore guards Eleanor Monyek (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) and Nayo Lear (South Holland, Ill.).
- With an effective post presence, UD is second in the A-10 in offensive boards per game (15.1) and third in total rebounds per game (40.7). Eight Flyers stand 6-foot and above.
- On the other hand, Dayton nears the bottom of the league in 3-point percentage (28-percent).
All-Time Against Dayton
- Loyola trails, 14-9, in its all-time series with its former Midwestern Collegiate Conference foe.
- The Ramblers will look to end its three-game skid against UD, having last beaten the Flyers on Dec. 6, 2006, in Dayton.
- In the win, Jenna Real scored a team-high 17 points, hitting 8 of 10 shots from the field, and added nine boards and four assists to help the Ramblers halt a 23-game losing skid to non-league foes. Maggie McCloskey tallied 12 points and six helpers and Ponder scored 11 of her season-high 13 points in the second period to aid the Loyola offensive attack.
