Aidan Klein to Train With U.S. Men’s U21 National Team

Klein one-of-21 athletes selected to train in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Aidan Klein of the Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team was selected to the 2024 U.S. Men's U21 National Team, the organization announced. Loyola Head Coach John Hawks will lead the group June 1-8 at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. 

Twelve of the 21 selected athletes will earn a roster spot and compete at the 2024 NORCECA Men's U21 Continental Championship. The event will run June 9-16 in Nogales, Senora, Mexico, and serve as a qualifier for the 2025 FIVB Men's U21 World Championship.

Klein, who joins the team for the first time, recently completed his first season with the Ramblers. The middle blocker saw action in eight matches and 15 sets in 2024, playing a career-high four sets at Stanford on Jan. 8. He totaled a career-high five kills on nine swings in that match and had a set assist. The match prior against the Cardinal, he logged a career-best three blocks plus an ace. He ended his inaugural season with 11 kills, 21 swings, five blocks, and a .429 hitting percentage.
