Five Ramblers Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. –  Five members of the Loyola University Chicago men's soccer program have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their combined excellence on the field and in the classroom.

Petar Janjic, Luka Ivancic, Arved von Vegesack, Nicholas Roe, and Ben Bischof each earned a spot on the Academic All-District roster.

Janjic appeared in 16 matches with 10 starts, totaling 885 minutes. He recorded five points on one goal and three assists, including the game-winning strike in the season-opening victory over Oakland (Aug. 21). Janjic added helpers against SIUE (Sept. 11), La Salle (Oct. 11) and Saint Louis (Oct. 25). He registered 17 shots, with six on target for a .353 shots-on-goal percentage. The Elmhurst, Ill., native earns the honor for the second straight season.

Ivancic started 15 of the 16 matches he played, accumulating 1,231 minutes. The sophomore tallied six points on two goals and two assists, scoring against SIUE (Sept. 11) and delivering the game-winner at Rhode Island (Sept. 20). He handed out assists versus Oakland (Aug. 21) and DePaul (Sept. 7), and attempted 11 shots with two on frame (.182 SOG%). Ivancic is one of two Chicago natives on the team.

Von Vegesack saw action in 17 matches and earned 10 starts, logging 913 minutes. He contributed seven points on two goals and three assists, scoring in wins over Holy Cross (Sept. 30) and Fordham (Oct. 4) — including one game-winner. The sophomore from Stockholm, Sweden, posted 13 shots, with eight on goal (.615 SOG%), and provided valuable versatility across Loyola's front line.

Roe started all 15 matches he played and led the team with 1,307 minutes. As the anchor of Loyola's back line, the Naperville, Ill., product played a central role in multiple shutouts and consistently limited opponents' scoring opportunities. Roe generated seven shots overall, placing three on goal (.429 SOG%).

Bischof, a team captain, started all 15 matches he appeared in and logged 1,137 minutes. He notched one goal and two points on the year, scoring the game-winner in the Ramblers' 2–1 road win at SIUE (Sept. 11). Bischof attempted 15 shots, with five on target (.333 SOG%), and served as a steady presence in Loyola's midfield throughout the season. A native of Eltville, Germany, Bischof tallies the accolade for the second time in as many years.

CSC Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with All-America selections to be announced later this season.
