Six Student-Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Loyola Chicago women's soccer placed six student-athletes on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, per the league's announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Ramblers' captains Zoe Hevey and Allison Deardorff are among those named and are joined by Jadyn Harris, Emily Rossi, Mia Lanni and Molly Pistorius for their combined excellence on the field and in the classroom.

Hevey, a junior forward from Pewaukee, Wis., earned the Academic All-District distinction for the second straight season while carrying a 3.85 GPA in nursing. A 2025 team captain, she led Loyola in nearly every offensive category, including points (16), goals (5), assists (6), shots (67) and shots on goal (27). She appeared on four Atlantic 10 top 10 statistical leaderboards and was one of four Ramblers to start all 19 matches, totaling 1,592 minutes. Hevey assisted on the game-winning goal in Loyola's first-ever victory over Purdue (Aug. 31). Her decorated career includes A-10 Rookie of the Year (2023), All-Atlantic 10 First Team and All-Academic Team honors (2025) and multiple weekly conference awards.

Out of Itasca, Ill., redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Deardorff adds Academic All-District recognition to a standout season in which she posted a 3.71 GPA in bioinformatics and served as a team captain. She led the team with 1,710 minutes played, recording a .817 saves percentage, a 1.05 goals-against average and nine shutouts. Deardorff's season included clean sheets against a Top 10 Iowa team and Purdue, and she ranked among the A-10's top six goalkeeping leaders. An All-Atlantic 10 Second Team honoree earlier this fall, she has already accumulated eight conference weekly honors in her young career.

Graduate student defender Lanni, who hails from Commerce Township, Mich., earned Academic All-District accolades with a 3.89 GPA in MS Accounting. A pivotal presence on Loyola's back line, she started and played all 19 matches while helping the Ramblers record nine shutouts. Lanni logged 1,521 minutes (third on the team), played 10 full-90 matches. Lanni tallied her first two career goals in a brace at La Salle (Oct. 5). She previously earned academic recognition in both the Pac-12 (2023) and Big 12 (2024).

Junior forward Harris, a native of Twinsburg, Ohio, posted a 3.51 GPA in environmental engineering while delivering a career-best season on the pitch. She appeared in 18 matches with 15 starts, tying for second on the team with eight points (three goals, two assists). Harris set new career bests with 1,124 minutes played and recorded her first 90-minute match against Rhode Island (Oct. 23).

Redshirt sophomore Rossi, from nearby Glen Ellyn, Ill., is honored after holding a 3.73 GPA in finance and producing a breakout offensive season. She tied for second on the roster with eight points (three goals, two assists), highlighted by her second career brace against VCU (Oct. 19) and two game-winning goals during conference play. Rossi also recorded the first two assists of her career in Loyola's win over George Washington (Oct. 2) and earned her first A-10 Offensive Player of the Week honors earlier this fall.

Pistorius, a senior forward from Park Ridge, Ill., garners her second career Academic All-District recognition after previously earning the honor at the Division II level in 2023. She posted a 3.83 GPA in marketing while ranking second on the team in shots (31) and contributing three goals, one game-winner, and 1,370 minutes. Pistorius arrived at Loyola as one of Northern Michigan's most decorated players, including USC Second Team All-America honors (2023), two GLIAC championships and multiple all-region and all-conference selections.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances academically and athletically. Select honorees will advance to the national CSC Academic All-America ballot.
