Hevey, Deardorff and Sudkamp Rake in Postseason Awards

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Three Loyola Chicago women's soccer student-athletes were awarded Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors, per the league's announcement on Tuesday afternoon. Junior forward Zoe Hevey tabbed All-A-10 First Team and All-Academic Team while redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Allison Deardorff earned a spot on the Second Team and freshman defender Abby Sudkamp was named to the All-Rookie team.

Hailing from Pewaukee, Wis., Hevey was one of four Ramblers to start all 19 matches and led Loyola in points (16), goals (5), assists (6), shots (67) and shots on goal (27). The three-year vet and first-year captain recorded the first multi-goal game of her career at Eastern Michigan (Sept. 11), and she had the assist in Loyola's first program win over Purdue (Aug. 31).

In conference play, Hevey netted three goals, including the game-winner against Fordham (Sept. 21), and had one assist in three different A-10 matches. She totaled 1,592 minutes in her junior season and was a two-time A-10 Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 15, Oct. 6). Hevey is the second-ever Rambler on the All-A-10 First Team and collects her fourth and fifth all-time A-10 end of season awards after previously earning Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-A-10 in 2023, and her first All-Academic nod in 2024. As a nursing major, Hevey sports a 3.858 GPA.

Meanwhile, Loyola's defense was anchored by Deardorff all season long, compiling 89 saves, 20 goals against, nine shutouts and a 0.817 saves percentage in 1,710 minutes for a 9-4-6 overall record. Out of Itasca, Ill., the 6-foot goalkeeper once again writes her name in the Ramblers' record books, tied for second in single-season shutouts. Deardorff posted a season-high 10 saves in Loyola's 2-1 victory at Duquesne (Oct. 16) and made five in a shutout against a Top 10 Iowa team (Aug. 28). The captain was a four-time A-10 Defensive Player of the Week – the most from any individual or school in the same category – and earned her second all-conference award in two years.

The freshman from Mokena, Ill., tabbed a spot on the All-Rookie team after proving to be a standout defender in her debut season. Sudkamp joins Deardorff and Hevey as one of four Ramblers to start all 19 matches, and she's one of two to play the full-90 in every single game. She scored her first career goal and game-winner at Central Michigan (Aug. 17) and added another goal at Davidson (Sept. 28). From the backline, Sudkamp assisted the Ramblers to nine shutouts, three in A-10 play. She's the second-ever Rambler on an A-10 All-Rookie team.
