CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago snapped a four-match skid with a win over Rhode Island Friday night. The Ramblers won 3-1 behind a match-gh 14 kills by Ann Marie Remmes. It marked her season straight match leading Loyola's offense.
The conference win improved Loyola to 12-15 overall and 9-6 in A-10 action.
"I am proud of the way we served tonight," said head coach Amanda Berkley. "We were really effective, especially Emma. She also did a great job distributing the ball to our hitters. Ann Marie keeps finding ways to score, which means she has more attempts and it allows her to step up for us. Overall, I am happy we're back in the win column and look forward to tomorrow."
