CHICAGO — Loyola University Chicago unveiled its 2025–26 indoor track schedule Tuesday, entering the winter season on the heels of a dominant fall and a series of standout performances at last year's Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships.
The Ramblers charge into the indoor campaign riding the momentum of a sweeping performance at the 2025 A-10 Cross Country Championships, where both programs took home team titles at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Dayton, Ohio. The sweep marked Loyola's third in the last four years.
With momentum on its side, Loyola opens the 2025–26 indoor slate close to home on Dec. 5 at the Cougar Alumni Open on the southside of Chicago, followed by the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Dec. 6 in Boston.
After Christmas break, the Ramblers resume competition on Jan. 16 at the Hoosier Horsepower Invitational in Indianapolis. The schedule continues on Jan. 24 with the Notre Dame Invite, followed by the Meyo Invitational on Jan. 30 in South Bend.
The 'Blers will head to Boston on Jan. 31 for the John Thomas Terrier Classic, traditionally one of the nation's fastest early-season meets.
Loyola returns to Chicago for the Blue Demon Alumni Classic on Feb. 13, while another group competes that same day at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston.
The Ramblers close the regular season on Feb. 21 at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational, a key final tune-up ahead of postseason competition.
Championship action begins Feb. 27 at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Va.
Loyola's top performers at last year's A-10 Indoor Championships included James Lawrence, who won both the 5,000m and 3,000m, with Jake Phillips taking third in the 5,000m and Nate Boutin placing third in the 3,000m. On the women's side, Emma Watcke and Alessandra Rodriguez finished second and third, respectively, in the mile, while Roisin Treacy earned runner-up honors in the 3,000m.
The indoor campaign concludes at the NCAA Indoor Championships, set for March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Ark.
