FAIRFAX, Va. – Loyola Chicago track opened the 2026 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a statement performance Saturday, capturing two gold medals, one silver and advancing multiple runners to tomorrow's finals.
The Ramblers were one of two programs to send three athletes through to Sunday's men's 1,500m final. Izak Bibile won the opening heat in 3:49.43, while Rodolfo Sanchez took first in heat two in 3:52.96. Colby Revord completed the sweep of heat victories, winning heat four in 3:52.10. Dylan Ybarra added a personal-best 4:02.54 to place ninth in his heat.
On the women's side of the 1,500m, Pippa Carcas led the way with a fifth-place heat finish in 4:39.37, followed by Sammy Mason in sixth (4:39.92). Lindsey Kiehl (4:49.93) and Jo Collins (4:51.37) each placed eighth in their respective heats.
In the women's 800m prelims, Natalya Kuchenbuch recorded a personal-best 2:17.00 to place sixth in her heat, while Claire Blotnik finished seventh in a separate heat in 2:19.65.
James Howell advanced to the men's 800m final after taking second in his heat with a time of 1:52.30.
Nate Boutin delivered Loyola's first gold medal of the meet in the men's 3,000m steeplechase, winning in 8:50.05.
The Ramblers added two more medals in the women's 10,000m, led by Eileen Seebon, who crossed first in 34:00.81 for the podium summit. Angy Salado Fernandez secured silver in 34:02.6, while Ali Gillooly placed fifth in 34:43.14. Due to a lap counter error, times in the event do not reflect full 10,000-meter performances.
In the men's 10,000m, Cael Mulholland finished fourth in 32:01.9, and Hayden Healey took 13th in 32:18.43.
Loyola returns to competition Sunday for the final day of the championships.
