CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago (8-24, 3-5 A-10) secured an Atlantic 10 series victory over Rhode Island on Saturday, March 29 at Loyola Softball Park. The Ramblers took the opener 6-1 then clinched the series with a 2-0 shutout in the second game.
"It was great to take the series away from today, and now we can go focus on, 'how do we go capture this sweep?' How do we clean up a few things offensively to make sure we can make some adjustments on pitchers we need to make adjustments on, how do we keep playing short defense, and how do we make sure our pitching staff can keep the ball in the park and continue to put zeros up on that board for as many innings as possible," said head coach Alicia Abbott.
