"I'm very excited to be joining Val for the upcoming season. After good conversations with Head Coach Jamil Abiad and careful consideration, I thought this was the right environment for me. I look forward to working with a powerful group and becoming part of the Valur family! " said Hodge-Carr.
Prior to arriving in the United States, Hodge-Carr helped Keflavík win the Icelandic Championship, the Cup Championship in both 2017 and 2018, and the KK Hún Championship in those same years. She was also a member of the Icelandic national team in 2019.
Hodge-Carr becomes the fifth Rambler to turn professional under Head Coach Allison Guth and the ninth since 2010 to sign a pro contract. She joins a distinguished group that includes Naelle Bernard, Sam Galanopoulos, Emma Nolan, Sophia Nolan, Troy Hambric, Taylor Manuel, Bre Hampton-Bey, and Allison Day.
