CHICAGO – Three men's golf student-athletes were named College Sports Communicator's Academic All-District honorees.
Charlie Kulwin,
Zach Mulhearn, and
Sebastian Kasun excelled on the course and in the classroom for the honor.
To be eligible of CSC honors, athletes must hold a 3.5 GPA in the classroom, hold at least sophomore academic standing, and participate in 70 percent of the team's competition or participate in the conference championship.
Kulwin posted a 3.69 GPA as a finance major this semester, while averaging 73.3 strokes on the course. He had three top-10 finishes, including an individual win at the Throw Down Up Top at six-under-par.
Mulhearn holds a 3.91 GPA as a finance major to go with a 74.4 scoring average. The junior golfer had two finishes in the top-15, including fourth place at the Thrown Down Up Top at three-under-par.
Kasun wraps up the award honorees with a 3.63 GPA as a finance major. He averaged 74.7 on the course last season over 29 rounds. His lone top-10 finish came at the Throw Down Up top with a seventh place finish and -2 score.
